The original functions of these animals were herding the cattle and private racing, but organized racing appeared only in the 19th century. These animals are very beautiful and well balanced. Their coat should be of solid colors with only a small amount of white spots.

The motherland of the breed is the southwestern part of the country. This breed probably developed from the Chickasaws taken from the Indians. It is the oldest type of horses in this country. The talent of the breed is its ability to run quick on short distances. Show quality stallions look well in the pictures, but when you choose a breeder, don't rely on a picture.
