The Przewalski equine is the only remaining progenitor of modern breeds. Many predecessors perished during the Ice Age, or were exterminated by hunters or got killed during war time. The domestication of these animals started about 5,000 years ago.

These animals have come a long way toward obtaining their current appearance. Their earliest fathers lived more than 50 million years ago and were about 1ft high at the withers. In appearance, they bore a close resemblance to dogs. Clydesdale horses look wonderful in the pictures and photos.
